About Towbar Republic

It all started with one question

“Can you 3D print me a towbar cover like this?”

That simple question started a chain of ideas, prototypes and new designs.

Before long, I realized there was something missing on the market.

Most towbar covers were simply... boring.

Plain black caps. Basic shapes. Not much choice.

So I decided to make something different.

The idea is simple

I want to create towbar covers that I would actually want to put on my own car.

Something with character.
Something people notice.
Something you do not see everywhere.

The production process gives me the freedom to experiment with unusual shapes, details, colours and ideas that would often make little sense in traditional mass production.

Made one by one.

Towbar Republic is a one-person business based in the Netherlands.

There is no huge production line or anonymous customer service department.

I design, produce, check and improve the products myself.

That means I can keep a close eye on every cover and make improvements quickly whenever I find a better way to do something.

Print → Fit → Finish → Final Check

And if you send me a message, you are speaking directly to the person who actually makes the product.

Not mass-produced. And that is the point.

Every Towbar Republic cover is produced individually using FDM 3D printing.

Small layer lines or slight surface differences may sometimes be visible — that is simply part of the process.

Each piece is made, checked and finished individually rather than coming from a huge production run.

Why towbar covers?

Because even the smallest details can give a car more character.

A towbar is usually purely functional — often left bare or covered with a simple black cap.

I saw an opportunity to make it more personal, more interesting and a little unexpected.

Something that makes people think:

“Where did you get that?”

That is exactly the point.

And after all, this whole thing started with one simple question:

“Can you 3D print me a towbar cover like this?”
